Joists land on piers. The deck stops being a sketch and starts
being structure — Jeff in the dirt, building the platform that
pulls the cabin into the trees.
Scaffold, tool belt, blue siding in the sun. This is the part that
does not show up on a spreadsheet — Jeff on the wall, fitting the
next piece until it seats right.
Tyvek goes on. The addition stops being open lumber and starts
holding the line against rain — trucks in the clearing, wrap on
the walls, another day locked in.
Stained boards. Stairs down to the dirt. Grill and board on the
deck — proof the job is turning into a place you want to be. Work
continues inside and on the shell; this is the beat where the
weekend starts to feel real.
